Modesty for Men in Islam – Surah Nur Verse 30 Quran

Brief Verse Interpretation / Tafsir

This verse from the Quran advises the believing men to lower their gaze (not look at women that are not legal or halal for them) to protect themselves from committing fornication. It is best for them to protect themselves because Allah is aware of everything they do.

Verse Translation

“Tell the believing men to lower [some] their gaze (not look at women’s beauty other than those who are legal for them) and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.” Quran (Surah Nur, 30)
