Brief Verse Interpretation / Tafsir
The non-believers who were trying to find excuses in not believing in the Quran would have criticized the Quran even if it was not sent in Arabic language. On the other hand, those who were guided, would have accepted it even if it was sent down in any language because they would see the truth in the book. It is the nature of any non-believer to scrutinize things without logic and to make excuses.

“And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur’an, they would have said, “Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?” Say, “It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure.” And those who do not believe – in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.” Quran (Surah Fussilat, 44)
