A Message to all Muslims (From IqraSense.com)
Assalamu-Alaikum brothers and sisters…Let’s not forget to give due importance to the day of Arafah (9th of Dhul-Hijja), which this year falls on Thursday, Aug. 31st 2017. It’s said that the prophet’s companions used to “save” their Du’as for this day (even when they were not doing Hajj) and would pray and make du’as all day on this blessed day sincerely. They would swear that their du’as would get accepted. Imagine this: During the last days of Ramadan, we are told to find Lailat-ul-Qadar but the day of Arafah is already known. It is the day of forgiveness of sins, freedom from the Fire and pride in the people who are there: In Saheeh Muslim it was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no day on which Allaah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafaah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’” So, if we don’t take the time to pray and make dua on this blessed day, it means that either we don’t care or we have so much that we don’t deem it worthy enough to spend the time to make dua to Allah. Here is an opportunity to ask Allah about what we want in health, wealth, blessings and protection for children, family and ourselves, and so much more. Allah says in the Quran: “O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. (Surah Al-Fatir:15)” Pray for the Muslims in Palestine, Burma (Myanmar), Kashmir, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and everywhere else where they are being oppressed. How many times in life have we blamed ourselves for not making use of those “golden opportunities? So, if an opportunity like this is presenting itself while we still live, breathe, and have energy, why wouldn’t we make use of it? Take the time off from work, from your vacations, or whatever you are doing and get in front of Allah and dedicate ONE day’s time to ask Allah for nothing else but for your own self. If you don’t pray in general and are not close to Allah and need guidance, here is your chance to ask Allah for that guidance. Here is an opportunity to propel your life’s prospects. So, again, why would you not make use of this opportunity? Forward this message to as many Muslims as you can and collect even more rewards.
