(Posted by: The IqraSense.com Blogger) Last month in July 2009, Rick Warren, a popular evangelical Christian pastor was the keynote speaker at the ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) conference. Pastor Warren’s speech was welcomed by many American Muslim organizations, leaders and community members. This is because the expression of friendship by such a leader in a conference attended by 45,000 Muslims was first of its kind in America. His speech was perceived by American Muslims as a positive step in helping to bridge any misunderstandings between Muslims and Christians of America.
However it can be easily argued that to many American Muslims, his coming to the conference signified a symbol of their acceptance in the American society. While Pastor Warren’s friendly presence may have sent that message, the contents of his speech underscored how American Muslims’ efforts to position themselves in the American society may have been falling short. This was clear from many of his comments. For example, during the past few years American Muslim leaders’ mantra has been to demand tolerance in response to the intimidation that Muslims have suffered on various fronts. However, Pastor Warren reminded Muslims that “Tolerance is not enough. People do not want to be tolerated, they want to be respected. They want to be treated with dignity. They want to be listened to.” This therefore was a clear wakeup call that American Muslims should not have merely stopped at demanding tolerance, whereas respect and dignity should have been a right that American Muslims should never have compromised on.
American Muslims have also complained about the media’s bias toward them in recent years. While American Muslims have been trying to fix that image, their efforts surely have fallen short. Pastor Warren further validated this by stating “And since today much of the press is actually clueless of what you believe, and as to what I believe, and then there are frequent mischaracterizations in the media, frequent ignorant generalizations, generalizations are generally wrong, and frequent stereotyping, of all of us”. This told American Muslims and their leaders about how far they are from “clueing in” the media and others to prevent, or at a minimum curb such mischaracterizations and ignorant generalizations.
Among other things, American Muslim leaders have also been focusing on “Interfaith Dialog” as one of the avenues to bridge gaps with other faiths in America. However, Pastor Warren’s suggestion that in such matters action goes further than dialog was more appealing. He commented: “And I will tell you that I am not interested in interfaith dialogue, I am interested in interfaith projects. There is a big difference. Talk is very cheap. And you can talk and talk and talk and not get anything done.”
Finally, for those few American Muslims who have wrongly believed that assimilation within the American society can only be achieved by compromising ones Islamic values and principles, the statement by Pastor Warren “maintaining our separate traditions, maintaining our convictions without compromise” echoed what mainstream Muslims believe in but is doubted by a certain segment of American Muslims
The above clearly highlights the need to fill the voids and gaps in the vision for American Muslims. Although American Muslim organizations have been undertaking a number of focused and proactive steps to better American Muslims’ positioning for the future, there are a number of questions that must be asked to gauge their efforts. Some of the key questions are as follows:
1) Are American Muslims any closer to Islam and their mosques today than before?
2) Are the outreach efforts and tactics of Muslims making a difference in clarifying the message of Islam?
3) Does the Muslim leadership have a strategic vision to improve the relationship with the US government that is constantly being viewed by many American Muslims as challenging or are the efforts of American Muslims merely reactive and stop-gap in nature?
4) Are the Islamic centers, mosques, masajids, etc. organized well enough to attract Muslims and non-Muslims alike for transparent dissemination of the message of Islam?
5) Who are the Imams and leaders who American Muslims have put on the podiums and how effective have they been in uniting their local communities?
6) And finally, what specifically is being done to get Muslims involved in the democratic process of America to be able for them to make their voices heard?
These questions must be debated and discussed strategically to be able to craft a vision for the American Muslims for this century. The next article “Formulating a Vision for Muslim America” expands on the above questions that American Muslim leaders must focus on to better Muslims’ positioning in America.
What are your views? Please share them below with everyone….

Good thoughts. We all need to re-examine ourselves. In most cases we are not making efforts. And when we make efforts, they are without proper planning and strategy. Without strategy, there cannot be vision. Therefore, strategy is greater than efforts.
The way to participate in a country has different possibilities.
You can as Muslim participate to be flexible in your live and accept the not-Islamic lifestyle.
Or you can build your own community, which must be strong and must have intelligent leaders, who can participate in important organisations and government organizations of a country.
But mostly the way of participation is both.
When you want participate and have influence, you can take part in different local and nationwide organisations and contacts
But you must also make your own modern and populiar media to reach the people, young people and also young Muslim people
So they will be attracted to your information.
If not you have only information for your own group and not for others. It creates a wall between people
Like the Prophet(SAW):be flexible, be practical and be creative
THE LIVE OF OUR BELOVED MESSINGER MOHEMMED AND ALLAH’S WORD THE QU’RAN WILL KEEP US IN STEP WITH TIME AND LEADER OF THE NEW WORLD UNTIL JUDGEMENT DAY. PEACE
As’Salaam Wai’lakum!
The progress of the acceptance, tolerance and respect American Muslims is greatly hindered by the lack of unity among Muslims. Living in a city with several masjids within walking distance of one another seldom do you see them combining efforts or resources to educate the communities that surround them on the pillars, history or tenants of the religion. The images often seen in the media are not of the good that we do but the negative of a small portion of our total population workl wide. Once we have unity, we can begin to teach those about our practices and beliefs and give voice to our community; which then will result in tolerance and acceptance.
Salaam,
It is nice to read the comment of Pastor Warren on the Interfaith Dialog. He is right that interfaith projects are more important than dialog, but dialog only will lead to projects.
The primary aim of interfaith dialog should be to increase the attachment of each individual with The Creator (if one has accepted Him as God), all together should collectively resolve to go close to Him i.e which can be achieved by more submission.
And it is sure that if this goes up, all the differences among the communities will get resolve gradually, insha Allah.
This can be done in a way that leaders of both the community should take up projects where common matters from both the scriptures (Quran and Bible) are highlighted and made public. Truth, be it anywhere, should be highlighted by both the communities.
This will help bring people close to scriptures and The Creator, insha Allah.
with bets regads,
Bismillahi ar-Rahmani ar-Raheem
I live in a large deep south US city that is primarily not Muslim or very welcoming to Muslims (evidenced by the targeting of Muslims or Muslim owned businesses). There are Muslims, but not very many in comparison to the size of the town. Those I meet in this town are in my estimation about 85% me-me-me oriented. If you see them at the mosque at any time other then Salat-ul-Jumah it would be unusual. They don’t participate in Mosque affairs nor do they hold the various Mosques (and the different Mosque boards and different Imams) to accountablity for not acting with propriety and being available on a consistant basis. They will donate to Mosque projects but then don’t ask the questions they should about where the money is going. They don’t start or work in outreach programs. They don’t do Dawah or provide support to those trying to do community Dawah. They ignore the Islamic libraries in the Mosques. The websites for the local mosques do not provide the information that a questioner would need. They hide their names: Mohammed is now Mo, Ibrahim is now Abe and so forth. They have adoped all the worse aspects of living here in the USA. And we question why Islam is not getting the respect it needs?
Assalm o Elaikum,
Muslims not only in United States but all over the world need to reconsider their vision of future Muslim communities. I am sorry to say muslims have damaged their own image in all aspect. We do not have tolerance but we demand one from others. It is very important for us to clean our backyard. We need unity and constant education, education of faith, education of social issues, education and understanding of other faiths and societies. Islam a wonderful religion but most misunderstood. We need greater reforms and unity among muslims.
We have to think not only our self but all humanity we should know that we are not sent just individually purpose, Our prophet (PBUH) sent for all humankind& we have put efforts peace for all humanity.
It is a very good start to address the core issues of muslim communities in America. Lets not talk about unity, which is not going to happen now when it has not happened in the past. Let us learn to leave with differences and respect each others views. Agreeing to most or all of the analysis presented in this brain storming article, I feel if we should associate our selves closely to the mosques and create an environment where others can come to the mosques on a regular basis for the spirtual satisfaction and where they can find some sort of help for their other needs, I can say that inshaAllah it could be a good bigining.
As-Salamu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh:
The first thing that must be noted is that many of the Masjids in the USA are all decorations and size and no substance.
The community is spending money of enlarging the Masjid and not on what is important in the community. For instance, instead of enlarging a masjid where most of the time it will be empty anyway, invest in Tajweed classes and classes where the whole community can learn Arabic. Invest the money that is collected in Zakat and Sadaqah to help feed the poor and set up local industry (Halal industry) where people can be employed.
What is keeping people from Islam, in many cases, is not what is written in the Qur’an or the Sunnah. Consider this – HOW MANY PROSTITUTES WOULD BECOME MUSLIMS IF THEY HAD OTHER MEANS WITH WHICH TO BE FED? MANY. HOW MANY DRUG DEALERS WOULD BECOME MUSLIMS IF THEY HAD OTHER MEANS WITH WHICH TO FIND THE MONEY TO BUY FOOD AND PAY THE RENT? MANY. IT IS THE DUTY THEN OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE SALVATION TO THESE PEOPLE, NOT BY TALKING IN THE MASJID OR DELIVERING PUBLIC SPEECHES ABOUT RIGHT AND WRONG. IT IS THE DUTY OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNTIY TO PROVIDE THE PEOPLE THE MEANS WITH WHICH TO FIND FOOD, THEN WHEN THEY ARE FED AND CAN THINK OBJECTIVELY INSTEAD OF BEING TRAPPED IN THE PRESENT SITUATION OF “SELL DRUGS OR DIE OF STARVATION”
Muslim children are being made into mindless consumers. This is the effect of living in a country like America where you have advertising everywhere. This advertising and culture of manufactured needs is even infiltrating the Masjid. There are Masjids where people come selling things like t-shirts or they come advertising clothing stores or websites pertaining to commerce. The Masjid is becoming a place where it is treated as a gathering place to sell products instead of a somber place for contemplation and discussion about Islamic topics.
The Muslims in America are so afraid of being called terrorists that whatever talk of tolerance there is they follow. Tolerance and tolerance and tolerance, without regard to the truth. If it is not right that people have sex in public, then how can we talk about tolerance in that subject? What we are told however is that “We must be tolerant of other people and the way they live life.” The media scares Muslims and they start thinking “If I don’t go along with this tolerance attitude, then they will blame me as the BAD guy.” Then the discussion is not whether having sex in public is right or wrong, it is about putting fear into the Muslims so that they say whatever is necessary in order to avoid them being labeld as bad.
Either we are being sold things in the Masjid or we are being frightened into becoming cowards in the “Interfaith conventions.”
Then there are the genuine Muslims who are finding it hard to obtain authentic Islamic knowledge.
Was-Salamu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Assalam-Alaikum Muslim bro&sisters.
What we should emphasize is unity in muslim umah. We should leave our petty differences and come together as muslims irrespective of where we come from. This way we shall be the best examples as Quran stated. Allah says in the holy Quran in tansur llahah yANSURKUM WA YUTHABIT AQDAMAKUM.
About hiding our names, that will not solve any problems – instead it will give oppourtunity to others to hurt us. Muslims all over the world are targetted for no good reasons but if we are patient and have trust in Allah we shall prosper.
Assalamu Alaikum ya Jama’atul Muslimin..
Problems
1. Tolerance: One faithful day, D Prophet (PBUH) was sitting in the mosque with some of his Sahabas, a stranger came in and urinated just close to where they were sitting, Umar the temperamental stood up in anger to take action against the stranger (of course we all know that it is very wrong for one to bring in najasa in to the mosque), D prophet of Allah interupted and stopped him from doing so, He (PBUH) then ordered for a bowl of water and instructed one of the Sahabas to flush the urine with the bowl of water. on seeing this, the stranger was suprised, it was so unbelievable to him that he accepted Islam at that very moment. (note, the stranger was hearing false infomations about the Prophet in one of the neghbouring villages where he came from, so he decided to come and see for himself who this so called “false prophet of God” is and to put him to test).
Lessons: The prophet was patient enough to attract and draw the man to understanding Islam without saying a word to him, also he was able to teach his Sahabas how to deal with urine by showing them just the amount of water needed to do away with urine which is regarded by the Prophet as a major Najasa.
therefore with patience, the prophet was able to kill 2 birds with just a stone.
SUGGESTION: MUSLIM TO BE THE ONES TO TOLERATE, NOT TO BE TOLERATED.
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY FOR US TO DISREGARD ANY MISINFORMATION ABOUT US BY THE MEDIA.
AND FOR ALLAH’S SAKES, WHO SAYS THERE ARE NO ISLAMIC MEDIA FIRMS IN THE WORLD, ALJAZEERA AND CO CAN DO MORE, RATHER THAN FOCUSING ALL THERE ATTENTION ON SPORTS AND SOME UNNECESSARY EVENTS, LETS ALL DO ONE THING AT A TIME UNTIL WE HAVE ACHIEVED HIM TO THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE.
Lets embrace PEACE
EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT ISLAM NOT BY YOUR SERMONS, PUBLIC LECTURES, CRITISMS etc, BUT BY YOUR ACTIONS AND DEEDS (PBUH)
ALL THE ABOVE LISTED (SERMONS, LECTURES) ARE MEANT FOR MUSLIMS, TO GUIDE AND PROTECT THEM.
DA’WAH IS THE ANSWER.
GOD BLESS THE WORLD,
MAY GOD GRANT US THE PRIVILEDGE TO OBEY AND SERVE HIM RIGHT. AMEEN
MASSALAM.
Bismillah Ar Rahman Ir Rahim
I have read the responses to your inquiry and I give respect to all of those who had the courage to respond…Ar Hemdulilahi. At the same time, and I could not help to think that many of the problems that we are experiencing as Mulims are the same types of sociological problems faced by many of the under class in this society. We must agree that in order to clean the Islamic house (the Jammah) we must first clean our own house. The prophet Muhammed (PBUH) warned us that our worst enemy would be our own egos and forgetting to practice the Deen. In resolving the issues here in America as it applies to Muslims (we must be careful not to adopt the label of American Muslims, because Islam has a culture of it’s own) we must first begin with ourselves! Stop the excuses. Make Salat. Go to Jummah. Pay the Zakat and establish the Islamic culture in you heart first. Read about the life of the Prophet Muhammed and the way he managed the same types of problems that we are facing today. As I see it, and I say this with humilty we must practice the Deen with itelligence and continue to educate ourselves in order to identify a solution to the establishment of Al-Islam in the West. Islam began with the commandment to educate yourselves. There are no short cuts. Respect Allah and establish your faith. Patience with work will overcome just being tolerated. If you must follow, then follow, if you are blessed to lead, then lead. Allahu Akbar.
1) Are American Muslims any closer to God than before?
2) Are the outreach efforts and tactics of Muslims making a difference in clarifying the message of Islam or is it alienating Muslims from worshiping God by their hearts and alienating non-Muslims from accepting the message of God’s unity and mercy in favor of political and land disputes over the Muslim world?
3) Does the Muslim leadership have a strategic vision to cease its efforts for political lobbying and replace them by saving souls (one person at a time) while letting God to inspire his servants of how to organize the world?
4) Have the Islamic centers, mosques, masajids, etc. recognized how much damage they have done in alienating Muslims from worshiping Allah and sensing his mercy and instead played into the hands of the media to distance Muslims from worshiping Allah?
5) Who are the Imams and leaders who American Muslims have put on the podiums and watched them cursing at the end of the prayers at the “Enemies of Allah” instead of praying for God’s mercy to guide all those who hunger and thirst for God’s message?
6) And finally, what specifically is being done to get Muslims to understand that God does not change the state of any group of people unless they change what’s inside their heart? If we want dignity, have we treated each other and the others with dignity?
There is no God but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Please educate yourself and your children. Always promote education, don’t compromise on it, don’t ignore your children’s slightest misguidance from education
We are the world’s biggest and strongest nation, all we need is to identify and explore our ownselves.
Our victory is with our knowledge, our creativity, our literacy…
….Wake up… It’s not too late!
………………MUSLIM………………………..
I READ ALL THE 15 COMMENTS LEFT BY MY DEAR SISTERS AND BROTHERS. IT MAKES ME WONDER WHETHER THEY HAD READ THE ARTICLE ABOUT PASTOR WARREN TO BEGIN WITH.
WE NEED TO WELCOME REV. WARREN’S COMMENTS. IT IS HARD TO FIND NON-MUSLIM AMERICANS, PARTICULARLY, OF WARREN’S STATUS TO MAKE ANY POSITIVE COMMENTS ABOUT MUSLIMS/ISLAM.
WE SHOULD HEED AND ACT ON HIS SUGGESTIONS. AS HE SAYS, WE MUST DEMAND OUR RIGHTS…. WE MUST DEMAND RESPECT!
OTHER AMERICAN MINORITIES DO! AREN’T WE AMERICANS TOO?
INSTEAD, AS IT HAS BEEN INCULCATED IN OUR MINDS BY THE ENEMIES OF ISLAM, INSTEAD OF COMMENTING ABOUT THE ARTICLE AND STAYING ON TOPIC, WE NEVER MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BELITTLE EACH OTHER: ATTACK OUR MOSQUES, ATTACK THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF OUR FELLOW MUSLIMS, INSULT THEIR INTILLEGENCE AND WHEN WE HAVE DONE ALL THAT WE CAN DO TO DESTROY EACH OTHER – THEN, WE ASK FOR UNITY!
THIS ATTITUDE IS INJECTED IN OUR MENTALITY BY ANOTHER DOGMA THAT SOME MUSLIMS HOLD MORE DEAR THAN ISLAM – THE DESTRUCTIVE DOCTRINE OF “NATIONALISM.”
PLEASE STOP CRITICIZING SO MUCH. DON’T WORRY, ENOUGH OF THAT IS DONE BY THE AMERICAN MEDIA AND OTHER SOURCES ON DAILY BASIS.
SURE, WE HAVE PLENTY OF PROBLEMS. SO DO OTHER RELIGIONS. BUT, NEGATIVE APPROACHES ARE NOT GOING TO ALLEVIATE THEM. WE NEED TO START WITH OURSELVES: “JEHAD-BINNAFS.” WE ALL WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD EXCEPT OURSELVES.IF WE START WITH OURSELVES AND CONFORM TO THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM, IT WILL BE EASY TO BE UNITED.
I SUGGEST THAT WE BOMBARD REV. WARREN WITH THANK YOU NOTES, SO MUCH SO, THAT OTHER PREACHERS BECOME JEALOUS AND START SINGING THE PRAISE OF MUSLIMS. AFTER ALL THIS IS AMERICA! IT IS ALL ABOUT PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR). I DON’T NEED TO BORE YOU FURTHER EXCEPT TO REMIND YOU THAT IT WAS PRESIDENT BUSH’S PR CAMPAIGN THAT CHANGED THE MIND OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ABOUT INVADING IRAG – FROM 70% AGAINST TO 72% FOR.
MAY ALLAH (SWT) GRANT US TAWFEEQ.
It is obvious that there is no alternative to education. If muslims all over the world must regain the literary glory that was ours many years back, then American Muslims can help us with that as there a number of such great scholars in America.
We need to continue to strive towards unity. Our muslim communities are so focused on materialistic values and “outdoing” each other that we tend to forget why we gathered in the masjid in the first place. Pastor Warren’s speech should actually make us aware that these rights were ours all along. We just never claimed them because our focus was elsewhere(“outdoing ” each other).
It is a dolorous psychological phenomenon that most muslims in all parts of the world, relate with enervating disdain and brazen diffidence with the social aspect of our din. Muslims in the US could help us snap out of this chasm of shame by embracing fructifying scholarship. we must be disintrested and altruistic. We must be willing to make sacrifice and not divinize learning and scholars in a way that makes it impossible for scholarship to continue to evolve. There must be constructive engagement with the media in a way that warranties for us mutual respect. This we can effectively do by quality participation in the search for remedies for all the socia_ecomonic maladies plaguing humanity today. We need real scholarship to make a difference
It was a great speech by pastor Rick Warren,so in my own limited opinion i’ll simply advice that the first stepis for us to get our own CNN,that’s the only way we can reach the world because i think we have the discipline and zeal to carry on.
This is a wake up call to all Muslim Ummah not only in America but the whole world. We should stop asking to be tolerated but work towards being respected and treated with dignity. We should not be ashamed of our religion. Let us refray from violence and other social vices and shun any form of extremism to stave off bad stigma. Islam is an all encompassing religion that we should be proud of. Let us unite. Let us be part of the democracy both in our local and larger community. Let us be seen to be contributing to the development of the society, we should not feel being oppressed and needs to be liberated. Let our voices be heard and worth listened to. We should also not compromise our cherished Islamic values in other to be accepted by the society.
we need to know ourselves, our faith and that of the opposite.
then to look for the complete solution and not the reduction techniques,
the seera of Rasulullah saw should guide us.
We need to continue to strive towards unity
The speeches or sermons we deliver over and over again in our communities do not reflect our deeds. We say one thing and do the other, why? As the adage goes; “action speaks louder than words” so please let us be true muslims by working harder and harder and stop wasting our energies by finding faults with ourselves and the others. Laa-ilaaha Illallah Muhammadun Rrasulullah.
The points that pastor warren made are very important and should compel us to jump at the opportunity to create an agenda of interfaith projects that could immediately be address by an interfaith group. There are many of us who are learned about many of the malodies facing human beings and much time is spent outlining these melodies. These problems are in the Muslim community, the Christian community the Jewish community,THE HUMAN COMMUNITY AT LARGE. If human beings begin to put the agenda of ALLAH first (want for your brother what you want for yourself) many of the problems occuring in the human community could be easily dealt with. Let us not continue to list the problems of our particular areas or communities, instead lets make a list for INTERFAITH ACTION. CAN YOU ADD TO THE LIST THINGS THAT NEED INTERFAITH ACTION….
1. GUN VIOLENCE
2. NEED TO ADDRESS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
3. MORE/BETTER HOUSING AND ASSISTANCE FOR ABUSED
WOMEN.
4. CREATE MEDIA COVERAGE THE ARE MORE SUPPORTIVE OF
THE ENTIRE RELIGIOUS COMMUINITY.
5. CREATE AN INTERFAITH ORGANIZATION THAT WILL
ADDRESS ALL MAJOR HUMAN CONCERNS AROUND THE
WORLD.
Asalamu Alaikum
The debate is interesting and I really subscribe to the Pastor’s view on tolerance – why are Muslims tolerated and not accepted as normal human beings/ why are we classified as integrist, fundamentalists, moderates, etc.? We really need to look deep into ourselves as Muslims and practice Islam in the true sense. Then we will not be thinking how to fit into any society america europe or anywhere. Islam has already provided the basis for citizenship.
Thank you for the space.
Asalamu Alakum
My solution to me seems rather simple. If we learn to take pride in who we are (Muslims), then we have already jumped the hurdle.
People, in general prey on the weak. They smell fear!!! We should learn to embrace who we are. When we accept the fact that it’s ok to practice our faith as it is prescribed rather than the way it would fit within the society we live in. Then and only then, we will generate real respect from others.
Americans are rather quite accepting of different people and their cultures. It is my belief if we don’t respect ourselves how can we expect others to do so!!! When we have achieved self respect, we will no longer need a discourse on Media views, bias, or tolerance. We can all agree to disagree on our points of faith. The uniting issue to concentrate on then would be, as Muslims, Christian, and Jews, how can we make this life a better one for all people. If we followed the tenents of all 3 of these faiths, we would all conclude we’re all Muslimeen in theory. We might then finally bridge our differences and finally find a successful solution to the ills of our world Inshaallah. I apologize if I sound like I’m preaching, but I’ve never had a problem with the fact that I was a Muslim, born in America to an Arab family. I always resented the fact that my fellow Muslims felt almost inferior to everyone else. I truly believe it is self inflicted and rather senseless. So once again I apologize, but I repeat BE PROUD TO BE A MUSLIM and others will respect you. I’m living proof of this!!!!! As Muslims, our behavior will be evidenced by the way we practice our faith personally and with others. We won’t have to answer to anyone except Allah(SWT). He’s the only one that counts!!!
PEACE TO ALL! I AM YOUR SISTER IN CHRISTIANITTY WITH PRAYERS THAT WILL UNITE US TO INFORM AND EDUCATE THE MISINFORMED AND UNEDUCATED WHO ONLY BECAUSE OF THEIR UNWILLINGNESS TO LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND SOMETHING DIFFERANT THAN THEIR OWN BELIEFS IN TURN CAUSE PAIN AND HEART-ACHE THROUGHOUT THE USA AND WORLD.

THINK ABOUT:
ON ALL THE CURRENCY WE USE HERE IN THE USA; IT IS INSCRIBED WITH “IN GOD WE TRUST” CAN WE NOT TRUST THE ALMIGHTY, THE ALL-KNOWING ENOUGH TO GIVE OVER OUR TROUBLES TO? WHICH IS WHAT GOD ASKS OF US TO DO ANYWAYS. I AGREE, AT TIMES IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DO JUST THAT. BUT WE MUST AND NOT JUST 10% OR 80% BUT 100% OF IT!

American Muslims can contribute a great deal in regaining past glory of the Muslims. The only condition is that the Muslims all over the world (including American Muslims) should concentrate on getting modern Education especially in Scientific learnings. Unfortunately the Muslims have got away from modern scientifici learnings. Moreover a strange class of people (extremist Muslims) has developed which wants to put an end to all scientific progress. America is nowa days on the top in Science and technology. The American Muslims are close to these learnings. If they concentrate on scientific learnings as well as stick to their religious beliefs, not only their future will be bright but also they will contribute a great deal in the glory of the Muslims. In this world, the principal of The survival ofthe fittest prevails. They have to prove themselves the fittest in the American society.
